Her Execellency Mrs. Margaret Peter Obi (First Lady Anambra State) in collaboration with Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, was yesterday launches Anambra State 2009 International Cancer week.

The theme of the launching was say no to breast and cervical cancers – say yes to early detection prevention and treatment. At the Launching, they explain what cancer is all about, types of cancer, Predisposing factors (risk), Signs and Symptoms, Consequences of Cancer, Prevention of Cancer and Management of Cancer.

Finally advices people of Nigeria to Live healthily, Avoid Junk Food, Eat Fresh Food, Excise regularly, Wear protective concern if working in an unprotected environment e.g. mines etc, Go for early check up and Once any strange growth or lump is discovered in the body to go and see doctor.
