Angry youths have protests the allege ritual killing of two children, Muhammad Aminu Bala, 3, and Adamu Baffa Magaji 4, in Zarainwa quarters of Birnin-Kudu Local Government Area. They set ablaze several houses and vehicles worth millions of naira before they were controlled by the former Government of the state, Alhaji Ali Sa’adu Birnin-Kudu.

it was reported that trouble began shortly after the corpse of the deceased was found dumped adjacent to the zonal office of Jigawa Sate Agricultural and Supplying Company (JASCO) located along Kano-Birnin-Kudu highway recently.

It was further reported that the houses and the vehicles destroyed all over there were belonged to the former Jigawa State Commissioner of Information, whom the yourths were accusing of the crime.

According to the news, the senior brother of one of the deceased, Abubakar Muhammad Sarkin-Malamai, the children were declared missing recently and their family members could not trace their whereabouts despite the rigorous search they embarked upon on searching for them.

“we kept on searching for them; be we could not see them until today, when some people informed us that, their corpses were found dumped at the front view of JASCO zonal office, Birnin-Kudu. We have traced their shoes in one of the cars belonging to the former commissioner” said Abubakar.

Also, one of the deceased’s fathers, Mallam Bala Ya’u said, “he was at home when suddenly somebody came to my house on motorcycle and asked to join him to somewhere.

“I demanded for an explanation, but the man insisted that I should follow him first. On our arrival at the scene, I saw crowd and when reached the scene I recognized Abba.”

Asked whether some thing was removed from their bodies, Ya’u said that “I could not exactly confirm that because I was completely devastated, hence I couldn’t search their bodies to confirm whether something was removed from them.”

When contacted, the police spokesman, ASP Abdul Jinjiri, said police did not receive report from Birnin-Kudu division as at the time he was contacted by the reporter, but assured that as soon as the command receives details of the matter, he would communicate with the pressmen.

People who are involved in these murders should be punished strictly. Kids killed for personal greed, that is sick.
